The OpenSSL project is a widely-used open-source cryptographic library that allows secure communication over the internet. In this talk, we will give an overview of the current state of the OpenSSL project from a technical perspective as well as an overview of the governance of the project.
We aim for better community engagement and are currently exploring ways to increase interaction and collaboration with our users. We are also changing the way how future development of the library is organized as well as how features are prioritized to serve our communities better.
We will present the new features included in the 3.1 release as well as the features that are currently being developed for the next version.
